Image Metadata Viewer
See what a photo file contains. The file never leaves your device; GPS coordinates are shown only as present or absent for privacy.
About the Image Metadata Viewer
Photos carry hidden EXIF data: camera model, settings, date, and often GPS coordinates. This viewer reads that metadata locally in your browser so you can check exactly what a photo reveals before you share it.
How to use it
- 1 Load a photo.
- 2 Read the camera, exposure, date and location fields.
- 3 Decide whether to strip anything before sharing (most apps remove GPS on upload, but originals sent as files keep it).
Frequently asked questions
Can this viewer remove metadata?+
It is a viewer: it shows what is inside. To strip location, share through an app that removes it, or re-export the image with the Compressor, which drops EXIF data.
Why does my photo have no metadata?+
Screenshots, downloads and many edited images have little or no EXIF. Messaging apps also strip it when sending as a photo rather than a file.
Is my photo uploaded?+
No. The file is read locally by your browser only.
